We are a family of four, living on a farm in the Ottawa Valley. We moved to our farm in the summer of 2016 with only one fur baby, our cat Mr. Chocolate Pants, and some fish. We immediately added two more kittens, Ebony and Mr. Whiskers. A month later, we adopted 8 week old Lucy, our sweet Bernese Mountain dog, on a guardianship contract. We then got some goats, some ducks and some chickens, and we were happy farmers. My son added to the menagerie the following year by adopting bearded dragon from a rescue organization, and then we added a few more dogs.

When Lucy had her first litter of pups, I was enamored and fascinated. I have been an animal lover my entire life (it's a rare childhood photo of me that doesn't include some variety of critter!), and my original trajectory was veterinary medicine. That didn't pan out, but I have always had dogs in my life and can't imagine life without them. After Lucy's second litter, I knew I was interested in small scale breeding.

This raised a dilemma for me since I had previously been fairly dismissive of dog breeders, believing that everyone should rescue dogs instead. I still believe that rescuing a dog is a fantastic option IF you are able to manage whatever issues accompany that dog. I realized that not everyone is able to adopt a rescue, and I wanted to make it my mission to breed dogs for their temperament instead of for their looks or their pedigree. And so it began.

We are dedicated to breeding loving and even-tempered doodles that will make the perfect addition to any household. Every breeding dog is DNA tested to ensure absolute health with no hidden genetic anomalies, and they are all family raised in a home environment.

This is our canine fur family now: Lucy is retired and is the proud grandma to several litters. Toby is our mini-poodle stud, and Reyla and Skylar will also be retiring soon. We have another stud and several females in guardian homes.
